Are you one of many people who enjoy singing but struggle when it comes to sight singing?
Or are you one of many who dread having to sing those aural tests in music exams?
If you are in either category (or both) this day is tailor made for you.
Provisional Timetable
10.30 Registration, welcome and coffee /tea.
10.50 Understanding Rhythm
Do I know my crotchets from my quavers and my demisemiquavers from my breves? Do time signatures matter? Plenty of practical work.
11.50 Stretch legs, coffee / tea .
12.10 Understanding Pitch
Am I clear about staves, clefs, names of notes? How does it all help to read pitch? Plenty of practical work in reading pitch.
1.10 Lunch
2.00 Putting Rhythm and pitch together.
Plenty of practical work.
2.50 Stretch legs, coffee/tea
3.10 The finer points—tempo, dynamics, phrasing, foreign words.
3.30 Singing in parts
4.00 Depart
All you need to bring is a packed lunch. Tea, coffee, juice, biscuits/cakes will be provided free of charge.

The cost of the day is £39
