Over the years, Gareth has undertaken a huge amount of work as both a soloist and accompanist. He has given organ recitals across Europe and has undertaken a substantial number of engagements with a French trumpeter, Pascal Geay, working in England, France, Switzerland and Germany. Besides his experience as a soloist and accompanist in various Cathedrals, he has accompanied many choirs, including Choral performances on National Radio and TV at home and abroad.

Solo recordings include “Organ Music from Wakefield Cathedral” (Foxglove) and “English Organ Music” (NAXOS), which both received excellent reviews. He has also accompanied a number of choirs on various CD recordings.

Gareth has directed a number of choirs over the years. Beside his work with Cathedral Choirs and Choral Societies, he was a Musical Director for “Daily Service” (BBC Radio 4) for a number of years.

Additionally, Gareth enjoys piano accompaniment. In this capacity he has worked with singers and instrumentalists of all levels and ages, and has undertaken piano accompaniment engagements on National BBC Radio. He is very happy to accompany exam candidates, festival competitors, or anyone seeking an accompanist for any other purpose.
